Yep, that's his name on the wall...Passionate, proud, excitable. There are many ways to describe Scott but rest assured there's never a dull moment when he's around. Having sold his London based tech business in 2006 it was time to fulfil a long-held ambition to build a British coffee brand that really could compete in a global market. Dad of 4 boys, runner, cyclist, snowboarder and not a bad barista!
JonathanBrand Director - UK
Jon is our brand and culture guru who was a lifelong tea drinker, until (in his own words) he "fell head over heels in love with our flat white". We plucked Jon from London, where he was Director of a highly successful business consultancy and persuaded him that fuelling ambition was for him. He is a family man who is always on the go. An obsessive fitness fanatic; regularly spotted on a spin bike, lifting weights or doing both at the same time!
JohnOperations Director - UK
John is our Operations Director, he’s a no-nonsense, get-the-job-done kind of chap. A partner in the Tuddenham Hall Estates for over 22 years he’s been dealing with the UK supermarkets for nearly two decades. If you can rear it, grow it or pick it John's your main man! Father of two and pretty handy with a hockey stick in his hand.
IsaacLogistics - Kenya
Issac Muchomba is the son of George and our conduit to the outside world. His knowledge of the local coffee market is unrivalled having run the Kenyan Coffee Traders Association for 9 years. Responsible for the day to day management of the farm project in conjunction with our processing and shipping partners NKG. Issac serves as a member of the Board of Management at the Ruiga Secondary School, a proud family man, dad and all round great guy!
TarikManaging Director - UAE
Tarik is MD of Paddy & Scott’s Middle East LLC based in Dubai and oversees the distribution of our coffee into the Middle East and North Africa. He’s a great guy, super efficient and really understands the hospitality marketplace. UK born, fluent in Arabic he read Business and Law at Kingston University, London. Tarik lives in Abu Dhabi with his wife Noor and Leo the cat!
ZoeHead of Operations (EP)
Zoe is our highly-dedicated Operations Manager; heading up the EMT and keeping a close eye on efficiency and budgets. Zoe knows the company inside-out and works hard to keep the team happy. She has a busy social life and is great at organising staff get-togethers (mostly to the pub). Married to Andy, Zoe has two step-sons and a fat cat. She loves netball, cycling and has an enviable shoe collection!
JessChief Story Teller (EP)
Jess splits her time between coffee machine maintenance and story telling. With a meticulous attention to detail and a love of colour co-ordinated lists. Jess arranges engineer visits to ensure your coffee equipment is kept in tip-top condition. She's also responsible for keeping our Meru Farm members, customers and the press up to date with the latest news. Married to Dan and with two adorable dogs; Jess is a keen gardener, cyclist and has a not-so-secret penchant for home-brewed rhubarb vodka!
ChrissieHead of Accounts (EP)
Chrissie works with Mark in the accounts team and politely calls all our wonderful customers who forget to pay us and was once rumoured to have said, “I wish I had a pound for every time a cheque went missing in the post... ” but we don’t believe that as she is far too polite. Chrissie loves her dogs, supports Ipswich Town football Club, is married to Doug and is proud Mum to two sons.
VickiBury Café Manager
Manager at our Bury St Edmunds store, Vicki arrived at the company fuelled with a passion for great coffee and awesome customer service.
She has completed SCA Barista Skills training and excels at customer service; making sure the customer is King...or Queen.
Alongside her awesome barista skills, she is a fully qualified chef and avid cake baker. Her stunning creations are always welcome at a staff party! When not behind the coffee bar, or managing staff, she spends her time with her young son, who keeps her on her toes!
GeorgeHead of The Farm - Kenya
George Muchomba is the Head Honcho and second generation coffee farmer. Having served as Chairman of the local Co-Operative for more than 20 years George has earned respect as an inspirational Community Leader driven to making the farm and the surrounding area a better place for everyone. He's one of the founders of the Ruiga Girls Secondary School, a proud family man, father and grandfather. A kind, gentle, man we're incredibly proud to be working with.
MartinNational Sales Manager (EP)
Our National Sales Manager Martin loves going the extra mile for our customers. Whether bringing on board new accounts or taking care of current ones; he’s passionate about people getting the most from our coffee. Our fresh-air-fan Martin enjoys countryside walks with Darwin the dog. He spends his spare time with his 3 children; enjoying the great outdoors.
TanzyCustomer Services & Stock Control (EP)
Super-organised Tanzy loves a plan, which is just as well, as she's tasked with trying to manage Scott's diary! So whether she's dealing with customers, taking orders, managing stock levels or keeping the paperwork in order; efficiency is the name of the game. Tanzy is enthusiastic, permanently full of beans and loves nothing better than keeping everything ship-shape and sparkling! Don't be fooled by her gentle demeanor; this country girl is a dab-hand with a shotgun and can pull out some badass dance moves when she needs to!
LauraOffice and Mobilisation Manager (EP)
Laura is our super-efficient and ever-cheerful Office and Mobilisations Manager. She ensures everything we do runs smoothly. An avid scuba-diver and skier; when not keeping everything in the office shipshape Laura can be found underwater or on the slopes! When she finds free time; Laura enjoys walking her dog Ruby or relaxing with a well-deserved gin and tonic.
KitHead Barista / Technician (EP)
There's not much our Barista Trainer/Technician Kit doesn’t know about coffee: Whether he’s fixing a machine or teaching our baristas; everything he does is injected with passion. Our resident ‘coffee nerd’ has completed all 3 levels of the SCA professional barista training. When he’s not whizzing round the country in the ‘Coffee Response Unit’ his time is divided between family, cars and music.
Amy is our Operations Accountant; sometimes referred to as John's right hand woman. She's a number-crunching, report-creating, spreadsheet-wielding maths whizz. It's her job to count the beans, mobilise new accounts and make sure everything is running smoothly for our new customers. When she's not at work, animal lover Amy can be found cuddling cats, dogs or chameleons or planning her next global adventure!
LinziHead of Retail & Cafes
Linzi looks after our cafes, cafe crew and customer services. If she's not dealing with suppliers, organising promotions or arranging food tastings you'll find her on the tennis court, in her active wear or chauffering her 4 sons around Suffolk! A graduate of the Sainsbury's junior management program, a stickler for perfection and not a bad barista!
ParisRetail Cafe Manager
Paris, our retail diamond excels in customer service. Constantly smiling; our café manager really does go the extra mile for his customers. He has expertly developed a ‘child-friendly’ atmosphere and can be regularly found colouring with his army of mini-fans. Proud to have achieved his level 3 SCA professional barista qualification; he makes a mean flat white too! In his spare time, Paris enjoys jaunts in the countryside with his husband and their two dogs.
Coffee Guru David is happiest when training baristas and sharing his passion for coffee! He's spent his career learning as much as possible; beginning as a barista and now specialising in training others. Always looking on the bright side and injecting fun into learning; David has yet to be seen without a smile on his face. When not at work David enjoys swimming, tennis and watching a film with his wife, Sarah.
