We're Moving, No Desks Allowed!

We're moving, no desks allowed!

Today we start the exciting journey of designing the new home for Paddy & Scott's, we have begged, borrowed and pleaded with our bank manager and at last we have managed to purchased a timber framed weather board/flint faced barn that dates back the mid 19th Century. It sits on a third of an acre plot just outside the beautiful village of Earl Soham right on the A1120 in Suffolk. So with a tail wind a friendly builder some help from friends and family we're hoping to move in by mid April!

There is of course lots of work to do but it really is a blank canvas and will hopefully look really cool when we're finished...but before we started we asked the team what they wanted ;-)

1. A walk in shower for Paddy so he can run to work!
2. A bike rack and an inbuilt wine cooler for Scott
3. A barbecue and outside client entertaining area for Chris
4. A thumping sound system for Emma..
5. A shoe rack and mood lighting for Nats (I kid you not!)
6. Mark just wants some peace and bloody quiet! ;-)
7. Chrisie wants plenty of plants

So there you have it! Not one mention of desks, CAT 5 cabling, telephone or alarm system and all that boring stuff but I suppose that really underpins what we're all about at Paddy & Scott's, a laugh a minute roller coaster ride of great coffee! Of course there is a serious side to the project as we're going to be building a pretty swanky customer training zone with a sample air bed Roaster so clients can have a go at roasting their own coffee and it goes without saying our doors will always be open for anyone passing by to sample our coffee..

So there you have it, exciting times, we will of course keep you guys updated with pictures of our progress, jokes we're going to be playing on the builders and I promise you a picture of Paddy with a paint brush in his hand!
