Paddy Bishopp - Can Anyone Make That Perfect Espresso?

Last week a team of a hundred baristas broke the world record for the number of espressos made in an hour’ by producing 12,005 on 31 machines.  The total is to be submitted to the Guinness world record people. 

The hours of training and work these guys have put into making the perfect espresso is huge and they say the average Joe could not achieve this . Or can they??

We got Chrissie who does our accounts to make an espresso with our Cafe Culture after just 5 minutes training and do you know what, the crema was fantastic, the strength just right and it tasted lovely, even though the pour time was too quick and there was not 7 grams in there.

Let's not take away the skill of the above Barista's and how much work does go into making that perfect espresso but with the right trainer, in just a few minutes, anyone could make a great Espresso, as long as they have good quality, fresh beans and a good grinder.

Great work to the record breakers and lets hope that The Guinness Book or Records recognises this.
